Custom House Capital
Located in Dublin, Custom House Capital (CHC) is a fast growing wealth management company, currently managing over €1.5 billion worth of client assets and lying within the top four Irish companies outside of the big banks.
Custom House Capital offers a variety of dedicated financial products, including equities, bonds and property to build client wealth, They also devise individualised investment strategies that are tailored to meet the needs of a client's specific financial goals.
They have just launched their third commodity bond onto the market. Entitled the Capital Protected Commodity Bond Agriculture, this bond focuses on agricultural commodities and offers investors 100 per cent capital protection on their contribution and 100 per cent on any gains made over the 5-year investment term.
There is a minimum investment threshold of €50,000 for those looking to invest in the Capital Protected Commodity Agriculture Bond and 70 per cent of it will be invested in commodities such as livestock, cocoa, cotton, sugar and wheat. The remaining 30 per cent will be invested in energy (25 per cent) and copper (5 per cent).
Associate director and head of equities at CHC, Sean Kenzie believes that these commodities are currently undervalued and that the prices are set to rise.
"It has been impossible not to notice the effect of price inflation of agricultural products on the shopping basket in recent times. Global trends are impacting hugely on agricultural commodities as supply fails to meet ever increasing demand
"We believe that the main drivers of agricultural commodities globally will be rapid population growth and rising GDP per capita, especially in the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India & China) where rising incomes are leading to increased demand for protein rich diets which includes meat and finally increasing ethanol production for bio-fuels."
